Sloan Ford in Exton has been a family owned and operated dealership providing automotive sales, service and parts to the Chester County community for 47 years. Our goal is to consistently exceed our customers’ expectations. We strive to be the kind of car dealer you thought there ought to be!

Since 1921 the name Sloan Ford has been associated with the Ford automobile in Chester County.

It was just 18 years after Henry Ford built his first horseless carriage the G.W. Sloan opened a Ford dealership in the southern Chester County farming community of West Grove, Pa. This was the beginning of the Sloan Ford legacy.

In 1964, a Ford dealership became available in Downingtown, and armed with the financial backing and encouragement of the Sloan Family, Jim Patterson (once mechanic then salesperson), borrowed a piece of the Sloan heritage and opened Sloan Motors of Downingtown.

Less than a decade later the cramped six-bay garage could no longer satisfy the needs of the growing business. On April 15, 1973, Sloan Motors moved to its present 4.5 acre site on route 30 one mile west of route 100 in Exton.

In May of 1982, Jim became sole owner of Sloan Motors. Today, Jim’s son, Steve owns and operates the dealership with continued dedication and purpose that began over 4 decades ago.

Does your car need service? Contact our service department at your convenience with 24 hour on line scheduling. Our technicians are all factory-trained and have ASE certifications in addition to the Ford Certifications. We have a large stock of tires at the lowest for your Ford. We are proud to say that our technicians have an average of 18 years experience and our Service Director, John Lanzar, is a Senior Master Certified Technician with Ford since 1978. We do not hesitate to invest in the newest equipment for our heated and air conditioned shop so that you can depend on quality workmanship. All this experience and expertise results in a quick and accurate repair of your vehicle.
