The New Ford Bronco: What We Know And What We Think We Know

As the days go by, we get closer and closer to the return of the long awaited Ford Bronco. The 4X4 is still shrouded in mystery, but there have been some releases, leaks, and speculations that give us a fair amount of info on the Bronco. We’re going to try to piece together some of the specs for this exciting return.

Four-Door and Two

Ford revealed a two-door Bronco prototype at an expo in Palm Beach, and the company also confirmed that a four-door model is coming. It seems like there will be more versatility in the Bronco than we expected.

The Grille Says Bronco

Ford loves bold grilles, think about the Raptor. The Bronco will wear it’s name right across the front in bold letters.

Removable Doors and Top

The Bronco will have removable doors and top, much like a competitor… Here’s the thing though, the Bronco won’t lose it’s mirrors when you lose the doors: they’re mounted to the A-pillars.

Styled For The 60s

The upcoming Bronco is styled for the 60s with a boxy, squared off profile, rectangular grille, and round headlights. We expect it to look like a futuristic, true to its roots version of the 1965 model. Classic.

It Could Offer a 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 Engine

The V6 pushes out 325 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft of torque in the F-150, so we can expect similar numbers from the Bronco. One way or the other, this thing will be built for excitement.

Sales Start Late 2020

The long awaited return of the Ford Bronco will happen late 2020, and we simply can’t wait. Stay with us at Sloan for more info on the Bronco!
